A carjacking suspect was taken into custody after leading deputies on a high-speed chase through Compton on Thursday. The chase began in Norwalk around 11 a.m. The suspect drove at 80 mph on the 605 Freeway before making his way to Compton. The driver continued to speed on surface streets, nearly missing pedestrians and oncoming traffic. The driver eventually came to a stop in the area of Figueroa Street and Compton Boulevard, where he was taken into custody around 11:40 a.m. Story provided by: Abc7news
